I’m Ed Korth, and I’ve spent more than 15 years working in identity and access management. I started in the mid‑00s with Active Directory and moved into federation and hybrid identity in the early 10s, long before it became standard practice. Since then, I’ve designed and implemented IAM solutions across large, complex enterprises using Microsoft identity platforms (Azure AD/Entra ID, AD FS, AD DS, AD LDS), Ping Identity technologies (PingFederate, PingAccess, PingOne, PingID, PingOne MFA, PingOne Protect), and more recently, Auth0 and modern cloud‑native architectures. I’ve worked inside major organizations and in customer‑facing roles where I’ve seen identity challenges at real scale. This blog is my way of giving back — sharing practical lessons, patterns, and experiences to help others navigate the constantly evolving IAM landscape.
